Payroll Service Emails

Published: May 24, 2022

Dear Service users,

At present we are noticing a trend of emails sent by the Payroll Team (payroll.team@lothiancil.org.uk) to our Service Users arriving in their ‘junk’ or ‘spam’ folders rather than their primary inbox, especially emails which contain attachments. Our Payroll Administrator and external IT service provider are working together to ensure that everything possible is in place to reduce the chance of this happening. We have been advised that the issue is likely to lie with the recipient’s email ‘spam’ filters identifying the email address or attachment type as ‘spam’.

We ask that Service Users expecting payroll paperwork to be returned by a certain date check their ‘junk’ or ‘spam’ folder before contacting LCiL mainline or Payroll. We have also been advised that many email providers will allow for emails to be added to a “safe sender” contact list, and would suggest that payroll.team@lothiancil.org.uk be added to this where possible. LCiL, however, cannot offer technical support with this.

We thank you for your patience and understanding with this issue.
