Inclusion Scotland and Lothian Centre for Inclusive Living, in partnership with the Scottish Government, hosted an engagement event on how new powers can help create a Fairer Scotland on Wednesday 2nd September 2015, in Edinburgh.
Disabled people were invited to have a say on how the new powers in the Scotland Bill can be used to create a fairer Scotland for them.
It included a focus on:
- Disability Benefits – How should the new powers over benefits for disabled people and carers be used?
- Employment Schemes – How can the new powers be used to find different ways to help disabled people find and stay in work.
- A Fairer Scotland – What do you think would make Scotland a fairer place for disabled people?
