New Powers, A Fairer Scotland? Presentations from event

Published: September 4, 2015

Inclusion Scotland and Lothian Centre for Inclusive Living, in partnership with the Scottish Government, hosted an engagement event on how new powers can help create a Fairer Scotland on Wednesday 2nd September 2015, in Edinburgh.

Disabled people were invited to have a say on how the new powers in the Scotland Bill can be used to create a fairer Scotland for them.

It included a focus on:

  • Disability Benefits – How should the new powers over benefits for disabled people and carers be used?
  • Employment Schemes – How can the new powers be used to find different ways to help disabled people find and stay in work.
  • A Fairer Scotland – What do you think would make Scotland a fairer place for disabled people?

Presentations from the day can be downloaded here:

A full report from the day will be available soon which we will put online and keep you posted with.
