Who is it for?
Disabled people and carers who live in Edinburgh, West Lothian, East Lothian, and Midlothian who want to learn about their responsibilities when hiring a personal assistant.
What to expect:
The workshop is delivered by the Peer Support and Learning team, who have extensive knowledge and experience in supporting people to access social care via Self-Directed Support.
You will gain:
- An understanding of what you have been awarded as part of your Direct Payment.
- How to budget your Direct Payment.
- Your responsibilities as an employer.
- Who can help you in your role as an employer.
The Introduction to Personal Assistant Employment Workshop takes place on Zoom.
