While the Scottish Government had hoped that all payments would be made in the current financial year (2020-2021) it is now apparent that this will most likely be delayed as there are still questions around how the administration of the payments will be managed.
LCiL, along with other support organisations from across Scotland, are engaged in ongoing discussions with the Scottish Government on how these payments will be made to Personal Assistants. These discussions are being supported by Self Directed Support Scotland (SDSS), www.sdsscotland.org.uk
As soon as we have further information on how our service users can access these payments for their PAs, we will let you know.
