We are looking for an energetic, reliable, caring individual to assist our 17 year old son, who has Down’s Syndrome & ASD. We’re looking for someone to take our son out and about to activities he enjoys, and to engage with him when at home. Some regular activities might be going to the National Museum, the Cinema, or swimming.
The job will usually be on weekends with more hours available in school holidays. Overnight shifts are also available.
Saturday mornings 9.30/10am – 1.30/2pm, occasional Friday afternoons 2:00-4pm. The offer is for 4-6 hours per week at a minimum.
The rate of pay is £13.65 – £15.65 per hour depending on relevant experience.
Start date is as soon as possible post interview for the successful applicant.
Experience of working with or caring for a person with learning disabilities, ASD and/or complex needs is required.
Experience of working with children is essential – Applicants with no experience will not be considered.
Applicants will be PVG scheme members or willing to join the scheme.
