We are looking for a kind, reliable and compassionate female carer to support a lady in her early 60s in her own home.
She has dementia and an ileostomy and requires assistance with daily living to help her remain comfortable, safe and independent.
Duties include:
- Assisting with personal care, including showering, washing her face and brushing her hair.
- Supporting mobility using a walking frame indoors and a wheelchair for outings.
- Preparing and assisting with lunch and evening meals.
- Administering medication from a pharmacy-prepared dosette/pill box.
- Assisting with changing into pyjamas and helping her into bed in the evening.
- Providing companionship, reassurance and support throughout the day.
Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 7:00pm
- Saturday: 1:00pm – 7:00pm
- Sunday: 1:00pm – 7:00pm
Pay:
- £13.85 per hour
We are looking for someone who is patient, caring, trustworthy and ideally has experience supporting people living with dementia. Experience with ileostomy care would be an advantage, although training can be provided for the right person.
