The Peer Support and Learning Team is providing a safe space for Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Carers to meet, share experiences, support each other and talk about what’s important to them in regard to accessing social care. A member of staff from The Action Group will be co-facilitating this event.
People who live in Edinburgh can register to attend this event.
From 12.00 noon to 12.45pm, a buffet with a selection of sweet and savoury items is provided for lunch.
We can also arrange for an interpreter to be in attendance, should this be required. Please contact the Peer Support and Learning Team if this will be the case.
If you require personal care/support with moving while attending an in-person event, please bring along a PA/carer with you, as staff are not able to support you in this way.

- Interested in learning more about social care
- Are currently accessing or interested in accessing social care
Where is this event?
This group will take place in person in The Prentice Centre, 1 Granton Mains Avenue, Edinburgh, EH4 4GA.
Access into the Centre and bathrooms is all step-free.

How do I register for this event?
By emailing SDS@lothiancil.org.uk or calling 0131 475 2350, where one of the Peer Support and Learning Facilitators will complete the registration process with you. Please note we have a limited number of spaces available for this event.
We require registration by Thursday 23rd May at 12 noon. After this date, any specific dietary requirements will not be able to be catered for.
