East Lothian Council are inviting families and people who provide support to children and young people to information sessions about self-directed support (SDS). These are informal and are being organised on different times and dates to give people an opportunity to ask questions and find out more about the upcoming changes this new piece of legislation will bring. You can read the letter here which has more background to what they are offering. Dates, times and locations include:
General introductory sessions about self-directed Support are being held on
Monday 14th April: 10am – 12.30pm at Bleachingfield Centre, Countess Crescent, Dunbar EH42 1DX
And then from 6pm – 8.30pm at Brunton Hall, Musselburgh
The Disability Team are having two coffee mornings / drop ins where you are welcome to come to hear more and start to get involved.
These are on;
31st March, 10.30am – 12.30pm at Gibb Room 2 Bleachingfield Centre, Dunbar
2nd April, 10.30am – 12.30pm at Musselburgh East Community Learning Centre (MECCA), Haddington Rd
28th April, 9.30am – 2.30pm– a day with families and those currently providing support to look at where we are and how to go forward. This session will be held in the Esk Rooms on the first floor of the Brunton Hall.
