Help Us Make Independent Living a Reality

At LCiL, we believe everyone deserves to live life on their own terms. Every day, we support disabled people, those with long-term health conditions, and older people across Edinburgh and the Lothians to take control, make choices, and live with confidence.

Peer Support team and Volunteers Lothian Centre for Inclusive Living

We provide solutions for people to live an independent life – giving them choice and control to:

  • Employ their own personal assistants
  • Manage care packages with confidence
  • Access vital benefits and funding
  • Support to live independent lives

When you donate, you’re not just giving money – you’re giving someone the chance to say:

I can finally manage my support without feeling overwhelmed.

LCiL gave me the confidence to employ my own personal assistant—someone I chose and trust.

I didn’t know what benefits I was entitled to until I spoke with LCiL. They changed my life.

Meeting others in a peer group made me feel less alone, less worried and more hopeful.

What Your Support Achieves

Your donation keeps our vital services free and accessible. With your help, we can:

• Offer compassionate, independent advice and information that is accessible.

• Run cost of living workshops that give people practical guidance in these tough times.

• Provide resources that make self-directed support easier to understand and use.

• Create safe spaces for training and peer groups where people share experiences and encourage each other to self advocate to help break down the many societal barriers they face on a daily basis.
