I’m looking for a PA for my 14 year old daughter who has an intellectual disability and metabolic condition. She is very sociable, inquisitive, friendly, and talkative. She is a compassionate girl who loves interacting with everyone and loves being out and about, doing activities, socialising, and attending her clubs. Some activities she enjoys are swimming, playing at parks, soft play, theatre and eating out. She does however require assistance with this as she can become overwhelmed, or over excited. She can get anxious, irritable and impulsive at times and her surroundings impact her. She can have minor challenging behaviour at times with regards to the above. She will require personal care on certain activities.
The post will be for 8 hours per week of support during school holidays (12 weeks of the year) and 4 hours per week during term time (40 weeks of the year). This main component of the role will be to support the young person to attend activities. There will be a budget for expenses during each session and mileage will be covered. Rate of pay will be £12.60 per hour.
A full, clean UK driving license in essential. We are looking for a female PA who drives and is trustworthy, sensitive, compassionate and adaptable to my daughter’s needs. Good communication skills are essential. As a PA you will be working 1 to 1 with my daughter so it’s vital that you are trustworthy, reliable and honest.
It’s also very important that we have a very open and honest relationship.
