I am looking for a reliable, warm and friendly female Personal Assistant to support me in staying independent and active, while also providing practical and emotional support, helping me stay connected with the community and reduce social isolation.

I am a neurodivergent woman in my 40s. I live with learning difficulties, and some ongoing mental and chronic health conditions, which can sometimes affect my organisation and communication. However, with the right support, I am able to maintain my independence and stay actively involved in my daily life.

The role offers 4 hours per week (one day per week), with the possibility of occasional additional hours depending on my support needs. While the days and times can be flexible, the role is expected to mainly start in the afternoon.

You will support me in social activities such as shopping, attending events or simply keeping me company over a coffee. You may also support me with planning and organising everyday activities, such as preparing shopping lists, arranging outings, and helping me stay on top of appointments. I may also need assistance with attending appointments, helping me handle phone calls when needed, and completing administrative tasks.

Occasionally, I may ask for help with light household tasks like hoovering, dusting, meal preparation, ironing, or washing up.

The ideal person will be punctual, trustworthy, and approachable, with strong communication and listening skills. I enjoy long walks, so being reasonably fit would be helpful.

Experience of supporting someone with neurodivergent conditions, learning difficulties, and mental health needs would be highly desirable and a significant advantage. I am looking for someone who is calm, compassionate, and confident in providing respectful and person-centred support.

It is essential to be a member of the PVG scheme or willing to join, I will be in touch with candidates who are selected for an interview.
