You’ll be supporting Steven, a former chartered accountant with a rich life experience, who was diagnosed with secondary progressive MS. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s life while working in a pleasant environment.
• Assist with daily activities such as personal care, cleaning, shopping, and cooking
• Help with wheelchair mobility and exercise routines
• Provide companionship and engage in stimulating conversations
• Light administrative tasks
Experience in caregiving is not essential – we value a positive attitude and willingness to learn above all (full training provided). As Steven says, “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift, that is why it is called the present, so live today“.
A calm and practical approach to caregiving as well as punctuality and reliability are essential.
Hours: Up to 36 hours per week.
Benefits:
• Flexible working hours
• Opportunity to work in a central Edinburgh location
• Chance to learn about alternative therapies and specialized diets
• Work alongside a supportive family network
• Potential to split hours with another carer if desired
If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact and enjoy a varied, rewarding role, we’d love to hear from you!
