I use a wheelchair and the morning routine includes intimate personal care and preparing for the day ahead. I can transfer myself so no moving or assistance is required in this role. The evening routine includes personal care, preparing a meal and assistance with my bed time routine including use of A CPAP machine (training provided)
You will need to be a good communicator, compassionate, patient, able to multi task and to work ‘at pace’. Experience in care work is not essential;
I am seeking people willing to work creatively with me and who have a sense of humour. You need to be open to learning as well as taking instructions from me as the employer and using your own initiative.
The hourly rate is £12.87 subject to increase and the hours are 15hrs/wk over three morning shifts – 7am to 12 noon or three evening shifts 6 – 11pm or a mixture over a four-week rota, so this will include some weekend working.
