The research focuses on the potential applications and demand for low-speed, lightweight autonomous (self-driving) vehicles, such as the CitiPod. A key area of interest is how autonomy-enabled mobility scooters and similar vehicles might better support disabled, less mobile, and sight-impaired citizens — both in daily mobility and greater independence.
