SUMMARY:West Lothian Disabled Person Peer Support Group
DESCRIPTION:Event Details\nThis Peer Support Group is for disabled people\, people living with long-term conditions and older people living in West Lothian. \nIt is facilitated by the Peer Support and Learning Team providing a safe space for people to meet\, share experiences\, support each other and talk about what’s important to them. \nAfter the group\, a buffet with a selection of sweet and savoury items is provided for lunch. \nTaxis to and from the group will be organised by LCiL\, if required. \n  \nWhy attend?\n\nMeet other disabled people and people with long term conditions\nExplore ideas and opportunities around support\nFind out practical information and resources\nDevelop skills and build confidence\n\n  \nThe Group:\n\nIs relaxed & informal\nAllows time to talk to each other\nAllows sharing of resources and information\n\n  \nLocation\nThis group will take place in person at Carmondean Centre in West Lothian. If you cannot make the in-person group we do hold online groups via Zoom: please see the events schedule for details. \n  \nRegister to Attend:\nWe have a limited number of spaces available for this event. To register a place please email SDS@lothiancil.org.uk. \nOnce registered\, a member of the Peer Support and Learning Team will be in touch to confirm any dietary and taxi requirements. \nPlease note: We require registration by Thursday 26th January.
