An outgoing young lady in her 30s, with learning disabilities, wishes to recruit 2 female personal assistants to her experienced out of hours team. Her interests lie largely in music, dance, drama, cinema and eating out. She and her team are working to improve her independent living skills. She requires some help with personal care, some light domestic duties, making snacks and some meals, and with her emotional and social support. The post is suitable for and has been particularly successful with students or people with a background in allied healthcare, nursing, psychology, art or music therapies.
Support hours would be mostly from 9am to 5pm or 10.00am to 6.00pm on your available days, scheduled in advance across the month. We try to be flexible across a team of, currently, 8 PAs, recognising applicants may have other employment or be students (a maximum of 15 hours per week for students).
Training will be provided through the use of paid shadow shifts.
The team is paid monthly in arrears. Further details can be discussed at interview.
