Hi!
I’m a young teenager with a physical disability and I’m looking for a fun and caring female personal assistant to help me do the things I like to do.
I like to go to the shops, meet my friends, go to the cinema, and have days out. I also have a physio programme that I do regularly.
Although it’s not essential that you have care experience, it’s important you understand my disability and how I want to be helped. I might be young, but I can speak for myself!
I use a hoist and stair climber, but we can provide training on how to use those. It would be useful if you could drive as I have my own vehicle that allows me to get out and do things.
To work with me you must be a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups scheme or be willing to join. The employer will cover this cost.
The job requires helping me with the following things:
Personal Tasks
- Assistance getting in and out of bed.
- Assistance with showering / bathing.
- Assistance with dressing and undressing, including assistance to wear environmentally appropriate clothing.
- Assistance with toileting.
- Assistance with eating and drinking.
- Assistance with my physio programme and medication.
Domestic Tasks
- Preparing and cooking my meals.
Independent Living Skills.
- Travelling safely.
- Meeting friends.
- Going to the shops and the cinema.
- Helping me to go swimming.
- Helping me to do my physio programme.
Social Tasks
- Help to go out and meet friends.
- Help to take me out to the cinema or the shops.
- Helping me to go swimming.
- Helping me to go to my drama class.
Personal Qualities
- Reliability and trustworthiness.
- Have received Covid vaccinations.
- Friendly and easy-going.
- Sensitive and approachable.
- Punctual.
- Sense of humour.
