Seeking a young person’s support worker, with experience of working with neurodiversity and learning disability. Looking for a professional person to assist me with taking part in social activities at the weekend. This might include going climbing or paddleboarding, the occasional short break with other young people and their support workers or just shopping. Ideally someone who is quite active would be good and who is able to assist with personal care, and who has good ideas for fun things to do.
The Post Personal Assistant to Young Adult with Learning Disability. Due to the personal care element this is a female only position.
The rate of pay is £12 – £18 p/h – depending on experience.
Part-time – 12 hours per week – 1030-1630pm weekends.
Extra hours may be available and would also be paid additional for short breaks away, to be negotiated/agreed if flexibility from worker.
I am looking for a personal assistant to help me build my skills and confidence. It is therefore essential that the applicant is friendly and approachable with good communication skills.
It would be helpful if you have a good understanding of Neurodiversity and you must have experience working with complex needs. It would help if you were someone intending to go on to work in a health care role professionally and who would like to get to know me and work with me for a long period of time.
It is essential that you are a member of the PVG scheme or willing to join.
