I am a friendly, quiet man with downs syndrome who lives at home with his mother. I have my own bedroom and sitting room. I am in pretty good general health and attend a college day centre 5 days a week where I focus on making art from glass.
The job involves assisting me with a variety of personal tasks in the morning and evening, as well as staying overnight to ensure my c-pap and mask remains in place and effective. While it would be useful if you have had experience of this type of equipment, it is not essential as full training will be provided.
In addition to some personal care requirements, the job also involves some daily light housekeeping tasks.
We are looking for a Personal Assistant who is caring, friendly and approachable with a good sense of humour. They must be reliable, trustworthy and punctual.
This post is for 2 nights per week, 8pm-9am. Flexibility in which days worked.
Rate of pay is £108 for overnight allowance (10pm-7pm) and £12.45 per hour outside of that.
During college term weekday shifts will be 8pm-9am. Additional hours required during college holidays and occasional weekends.
