This is a rewarding post for a caring person who enjoys vegetarian cooking and helping someone.
I’m a quiet, humorous woman who is housebound with physically disabling neuroimmune illness and needs a kind, reliable and committed PA. Duties are primarily shopping for and cooking healthy vegetarian food which has to be blended due to gastric issues.
Main duties:
Shop for, cook and blend food
Bring shopping
Domestic tasks like cleaning my small flat
Trim very small garden
Pick up prescriptions, take packages/collect from post office, unpack deliveries, recycling
Push wheelchair if I need to get to an appointment
Any other reasonable task
I need a caring non-smoker with experience of cooking healthy vegan food and have a book of recipes to follow. I feel very unwell and need someone calm and sensitive. I need someone who can follow what I ask for without questioning or giving advice.
Due to low immunity I need a PA who isn’t regularly exposed to sources of viral infection (eg young children) and who will let me know if they or someone living with them has any viral symptoms. For this reason it is unlikely to suit someone living in a flatshare.
I’m looking for someone to work regular agreed hours and can commit long-term so the post is unlikely to suit students. Please do not apply unless you are sure you can commit long-term and meet the criteria – I’m very unwell and it’s hard for me to recruit replacement staff.
Please indicate your available times and days and provide two referees. Many thanks!
