I would like to employ one or more Personal Assistants to support my daughter. She is an interesting young woman (38) who has epilepsy (controlled with medication) and learning difficulties.  She needs support with all aspects of daily life. Support includes prompting and assisting with daily routines and accompanying her on activities. Her interests include walking (especially with a dog), swimming, crafting, eating out (vegetarian), cinema, theatre, any social activity.

Essential criteria: We would like to employ a friendly, fun loving, reliable person. It would be good to have someone who has experience but more important has a positive and lively approach to life.  You must have a protection of vulnerable groups (PVG) scheme membership or be willing to join.

 

I am looking for one or more workers to cover the following shifts.  Please indicate in your application which shifts/hours you would prefer.

 

Shifts and duties:

Monday – Thursday, Evening: – possibly go for short walk/swim/shop, then prepare evening meal. Assist getting ready for bed.

16.30 – 19.30 – 3 hour x 4

 

Friday/Saturday/Sunday – Flexible hours could include overnights.  There may be other hours available during the week.

It is possible for the candidate to do any or all of these sessions.

 

It would be useful for the candidate to have a driving licence and access to their own vehicle on occasions.

 

Hourly rate of pay: £12

Overnight rate: £108
