I use a wheelchair and the shifts are focused on the evening routine including some personal care, use of a CPAP machine (training will be given) and developing a positive sleep hygiene.

You will need to be a good communicator, compassionate and patient. Experience in care work is not essential; I am seeking people willing to work creatively with me. You need to be open to learning as well as taking instructions and using your own initiative.

In recognition of the particular skills needed the hourly rate is £19 plus holiday pay.

The hours are 15hrs/wk over three evening shifts – 6pm to 11pm – days of the week to be negotiated.

This role might appeal to a student or Allied Health Professional, Social Worker or Therapist looking for an opportunity to build on training and skills and develop experience of working in partnership with a person requiring support.
