I am looking for a female driver/ personal assistant to support me with admin tasks at home and getting out in the community.
Up to 15 hours per week
Rate of pay £12.32 per hour
I am an intense at times, some may say, but friendly woman in her mid-50s with a great sense of humour. I’ve got guts, determination and want to get on with having a life. Having life run as smooth as possible is an ambition of mine. I’ve got several interests: swimming, arts & crafts, nature walks, outdoor swimming, days out and cappuccinos.
I am looking for someone to support me with life admin tasks, such as emails, making enquiries, phone calls, advocating at times and supporting me to appointments. Door to door support required in getting me out for appointments, swim pool, shopping and between addresses.
Trips out to local cafes (for support planning and prep), gym (for occasional spa and seasonal outdoor pool bathing), short exposure walks (for mental and physical well-being and exercise), visits to places of interest, and creative classes may also be part of this role.
I have mental health diagnoses. Symptoms include panic attacks, anxiety, depression and agoraphobia among others. I also have chronic fatigue and pain. Support with pacing, lifting and carrying items is required.
You’ll need to be organised and able to follow explicit directions as you will need to use a very specific organisational process (paper timesheets, diaries and logbook) and communication style (WhatsApp) to properly facilitate my support and keep me well. I am looking for a ‘completer’ who is tech savvy, especially when it comes to trouble shooting issues with emails as I find IT over-whelming. Self-awareness is essential as I require someone who can work in a person-centred manner with respect and patience (important note; this position does not consist of peer work). You must be flexible, trust-worthy and a good listener. If you’ve got a sense of humour and one of fairness, all the better! It is essential that you’re a driver with access to a car that you are willing and able to use for work purposes.
PAs will be asked to create a WhatsApp group and will be expected to communicate with other PAs, for things like organizing cover for shifts to support maintaining my routines.
It is important that anything planned for a shift stays as planned to prevent unnecessary changes on the day as much as possible. If I need to change a plan I will contact you, giving as much notice as reasonably practicable.
The role may be shared or offered to one person to work 15 hours per week supporting with admin tasks, driving and outings as well as domestic support. This is open to negotiation and I will consider applications from those looking to work 15 hours or less, or those who feel they can support in some areas and not others. Please enquire for further details or submit an application for specifying the number of hours and tasks you are interested in.
Being the right person is way more important.
If you’re interested, please request an application and job details.
