Live-in option available.

If you’re looking for a long-term carer/companionship role, love cooking and cats, playing Scrabble, and going for ice cream, we’d love to hear from you. You’ll be skilled at drawing quiet people out of their shell, patient with dementia-related challenging behaviours, and enthusiastic about getting them to try new things in the community. Care experience/qualifications, right to work in the UK, and references a must. English essential but bonus points for a French, Greek or Burmese speaker!

My parents are in their 80s and living with Parkinson’s Disease which causes severe mobility issues, using a frame and/or wheelchair to get around. They require assistance in and out of the home including administering medications, meal prep, and assistance with daily physio and speech exercises. There is an existing night carer, a weekly cleaner, and family nearby. Most importantly, we want them to keep enjoying life so looking for someone up for the challenge of getting them out locally – there are a number of cafés and shops just at the end of their street, and the beach is a 10-minute walk away.
