The Equality Advisory and Support Service is a national helpline which is able to advise individuals on issues relating to discrimination and human rights.
The EASS is keen on building relationships with organisations who work at a grass roots level supporting individuals who are facing an issue of discrimination or their human rights have been breached.
The EASS is able to advise individuals on work based discrimination as well as issues which may have occurred whilst accessing services or public functions. We are keen to support organisations that may not be funded to provide specific advice in areas such as for example work based discrimination. There may be instances where an organisation is only able to operate an advice service at a reduced capacity due to resource issues.
The EASS is a credible source of advice and support, in our recent customer satisfaction survey 90% of our clients advised they were satisfied with the advice and guidance they had received and were able to act upon and understand the advice which they were provided with. I am not interested in re-inventing the wheel! I want to work with you, in a smarter way to ensure that we are serving communities or individuals who need advice and support and giving them a collective and united voice to resolve their issue.
If you’re a public authority you may be interested to learn, referring individuals to the EASS is free and you can be confident that they are being referred to a helpline which will advise and support them in order to resolve their issue using informal remedies.
