Training for Organisations

Training Aim

LCIL aims to offer a high standard of professional training in:

  • Disability Equality
  • Direct Payments & Independent Living,
  • Training for Personal Assistants

Tailored training to organisations and interested parties using the most appropriate, effective training methods.

Trainers

The training team's strength lies in their ability to use their professional training skills, supported by personal experience of disability, to ensure that the material and delivery of the courses are informed by current thinking and relevant information.

A shared experience of disability also enables them to cross the boundaries imposed by impairment specific training. This means that equality issues are addressed and the recipients of training are equipped to work in an inclusive and non discriminatory manner.

LCiL training is underpinned by the belief that disabled people are best placed to offer support and advice to other disabled people, based on a shared experience and commonality of living life as a disabled person in a disabling society. This is recognised as peer support.

Our training courses are participative and user friendly. We can offer training and consultancy on the following topics:

This is one or two day course, depending on your training requirements, is a training must for organisations who are committed to good practice. It will enable participants to explore disability issues from a Social Model, Equalities perspective and equip people with the tools for inclusive working.
