Training Calendar 2010/11
LCiL has not as yet secured the necessary funding to enable us to plan our regular Learning Opportunities for Disabled People training programme for the coming year.
However, we are able to offer a one day interactive info session for young disabled people, thank you Ponton Trust, in September 2010 on Direct Payments- click on the above link to the events page for more info
LCiL's training programme usually includes a range of courses which give information about Independent Living and Direct Payments, encourage personal development and confidence building, and support disabled employers to develop relevant practical skills.
Update June 2010*
Whilst we are still not able to run a full Learning Opportunities Programme, we have secured funding, thanks to the Agnes Hunter Trust, to run a series of Confidence Skills course, including Dealing with Niceness so watch this space!
We have also nearly completed the exciting new training project called Choice for All.
This project has allowed us to offer flexible, individualised training on using and managing Direct Payments, one of the tools of Self-directed support , to a small number of people with learning difficulties who have benefitted from a one-to-one learning approach.
