Grapevine: Information Quality Standards

The Grapevine Disability Information Service provides free, confidential, up to date, accurate, accessible information. We recognise that for many disabled people information is a vital tool in enabling them to access the services and support that they need and are entitled to. Disabled people face many barriers within society and information provision is one way of empowering disabled people to tackle these barriers.

We aim to provide a high quality of service and adhere to the Scottish Accessible Information Forum (SAIF) Standards for Disability Information and Advice Provision in Scotland.

The SAIF standards for information cover the following areas of service delivery:

  • Governance and accessibility
  • Service develpoment and accessibility
  • Service management and accessibilty
  • Involving disabled people and their representatives
