Lothian Centre for Inclusive Living CEO Statement

Published: October 5, 2022

After four years with Lothian Centre for Inclusive Living, Lyn Pornaro is stepping down from her role as Chief Executive Officer at the end of October 2022.

Lyn’s dedicated leadership has helped guide Lothian Centre for Inclusive Living through the COVID-19 pandemic and other unprecedented challenges while ensuring the charity remains a leading proponent of the Independent Living Movement and champion for disabled people in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Lyn says: “It has been an absolutely pleasure to help lead LCiL over the past years. Thirty years ago the organisation was founded and yet over the past 2-3 years it has grown and changed tremendously. The independent support available to disabled people across Edinburgh and the Lothians is second to none.

So it is with some sadness that I announce I am moving on to be Chief Executive Officer with Disability Equality Scotland.  I am excited to remain within the Independent Living Movement and continuing to support disabled people in all areas of our society.

Thank you to everyone for all your ongoing support over the years.

If anyone has any questions about the transition period, please feel free to email me directly on lyn.pornaro@lothiancil.org.uk

Jeff Adamson, the Chair of Lothian Centre for Inclusive Living, along with the entire board, would like to express their thanks and gratitude to Lyn for her leadership as CEO and wish her all the best in her new role.
